Speed, raciness and tough dedication will be on show when Germany- s best polo players fight for the Berenberg High Goal trophy on the grounds of the Bavaria Polo Club and Polo Club Bayers in Holzkirchen/Thann in July 2009. This is one of only fife High Goal tournaments in Germany and the only High Goal polo event in the south of Germany. Christine Gärtner, governor of Germany- s oldest private bank in Munich describes the main sponsor Berenberg Bank’ s commitment to polo: – Polo distinguishes itself through speed, agility and precision. These are the characteristics which the audiences experience at the edge of the playing field and for which we, as a bank, stand.-
The – divot stamping- at half time is a highlight for many children as well as older polo fans. In the breaks, the audiences are traditionally invited to tread in the pieces of grass which were previously torn out by the hooves and mallets. We thereby offer the perfect mixture of exciting sporting event, exclusive ambience and weekend excursion for the entire family.
